We all have blankets just laying around randomly around the house. We have 3 blankets in our living room and they’re just chillin’. Wouldn’t it be nice if there was a spot just for the blankets to go? Well, insert a blanket ladder. This is a simple DIY project that takes about an hour or so to complete.
This project only requires a few materials and tools to complete. I purchased 2 1’x4’ boards at the store and that’s it.
Materials:
2 - 1’ x 4’ x 8” boards
Steps:
Cut the 1’x4’ boards to 60’ for the legs
Cut the remaining boards to 17’ for the steps
Make a 15 degree cut on the bottom of the board (floor).
Make a 15 degree cut on the top of the board (wall).
Drill 4 pocket holes on the backside of the steps.
2 holes on each side
Sand each board down
Measure step locations
First step is 8 inches from top.
Second - Fourth steps are 10 inches apart.
Angle Steps at 70 degrees.
Use pocket hole screws and glue to put boards together at step locations
Stain or paint to desired finish.
And that’s all folks. Nothing to do this one. Now you can hang your blankets on a ladder of them randomly laying around the house!
